WHAT IS
THIS?
It’s a Slack channel with marketers at every stage of moving a website off a CMS. Some are still deciding whether to migrate. Some are mid-migration. Some are out the other side, living with what they built.
It’s the place to ask the questions you don’t want to put in front of an engineer:
- Has anyone redirected 400 URLs without crying?
- What do I tell my CTO when he asks who owns the site now?
- How do I set up an agent to keep the SEO clean without me?
WHY?
As marketers, our website is one of the most important things we own.
AI changed what we can do with it. Idea to live in a day. But agents are good at editing code and useless at operating a visual editor. If your site lives in Webflow or WordPress, an agent can suggest a fix and then sit there, unable to make it. If your site is files in a repo, the agent just does it.
So the best marketing teams are moving out of the CMS and into code. There are guides for how to do it. There’s nowhere to ask other marketers what it’s actually like.

I’m Dasha Shakov. VP Marketing at Proton.ai, mid-migration off Webflow, learning most of it by doing it wrong first. I also host the Exit Five podcast with Dave Gerhardt.
My husband will moderate the group with me. He has a computer science background and built innlaws.ca with Claude, so there’ll be at least one person in the room who can answer a merge-conflict question without opening Google.
